1. Crab sticks

3. Instant mashed potatoes
Of course, these instant mashed potatoes are good, but they are not really natural. 4. Margarine
Margarine has been considered a healthier option than butter for a long time. However, it contains a huge quantity of saturated fat heated at high temperature. This fat is dangerous for health and more particularly for the arteries and for the heart. Therefor, we recommend you to favor traditional butter.
5. Nutella
Most of us prefer Nutella to jam, while Nutella is definitely not natural. Indeed, you just need to see its composition to realize that the product is far from being only made of nuts and cocoa.

8. Ketchup
We suggest you to make your own homemade ketchup! Indeed, the tomatoes inside your ketchup tube are so diluted with sugar and salt that there is nothing natural left in it.
9. Iced tea
Iced tea is highly consumed in summer, but the one we buy at the supermarket shouldn’t be named like this. Actually, the drinks we find in supermarkets are mainly made of sugar, food coloring and artificial flavor… which has nothing to do with natural tea!
10. Orange juice
Many orange juice brands want to make us believe that their juice is 100% made with freshly squeezed oranges. In fact, this is very rare and other ingredients are usually added, like corn syrup, fructose or sweeteners. The beverage in the bottle is more similar to a syrup than to real juice.
11. Refined sugar
The true color of sugar is dark, close to brown. Therefor, we can wonder why there are white sugars. The answer is that people prefer lighter sugar, which is silly, as white sugar is only obtained after it has been filtered in chemical products…
12. Maple syrup
Once again, there is a difference between maple syrup you can buy in supermarkets and traditional maple syrup. The one we find in large retail stores is made of corn syrup, additives, artificial flavors and sugar. Sometimes, it is worth paying a bit more to have a quality product.
13. Wasabi
The wasabi we consume in Europe or in North-America is not real wasabi. The real one is very expensive and it is produced from a plant of the same name. In fact, the “wasabi” we find everywhere is made of a mix of a plant name raifort, of mustard and of food coloring.
14. Freeze-dried soups
Many companies sell these noodle soups that are very fast to be ready. However, these freeze-dried soups are nothing but natural! They are made of salt, different flavorings, acidifiers and salt, which in the end is greasy and bad for your health.
15. Bacon slices
Bacon as we know it in supermarkets is not the same as it is naturally when it is taken from the pig. Actually, these thin slices are usually produced in factories and made of soy flour and different yeasts… In short, if you want real bacon, go to a butcher.
16. Blueberry muffins
A lot of people are fond of these delicious pastries. However, they do not contain a lot of blueberries. The fruit might even be faked! The recipe is simple: dextrose, palm oil, flour, citric acid, cellulose resin, artificial flavors and food coloring. It’s probably best to buy them in a real bakery!
17. Ice cream
We all love ice cream. The problem is that the one we can find in supermarkets contain only 10% fat milk and a lot of corn syrup, whey and glucose syrup. We are far from the handmade traditional ice-cream that is usually displayed in ads.
18. Jelly
Its visual aspect is a big clue of its industrial composition! In fact, jelly is made of fruit juice, gelatin, but also a lot of food coloring. For the story, it is said that the first jelly ever made was of pineapple.
19. Popcorn butter
Do you picture this butter the coats your popcorn at the cinema? You thought you were eating salted butter? Actually, it is a combination of hydrogenated soy oils, aromas, artificial flavors and preservatives.
20. Turkey ham
The turkey ham we find in supermarkets isn’t much natural. To verify this information, you don’t need to investigate too hard. Just have a look at the butcher: you won’t find any turkey ham there.
21. Breakfast cereals
